FAQs

What grades do you serve?

Math Coaching Lab currently serves students in Grades 3–5.

A maximum of 7 students.

Each enrollment period is an 8-week program with one 75-minute session per week.

No. Students may enroll for reinforcement, stronger foundations, confidence, additional practice, deeper reasoning, or
extension.

Not exactly. Students receive targeted support, but the program is designed around mathematical understanding, reasoning, problem solving, communication and confidence—not simply finishing assignments.

Sessions are not primarily homework-completion sessions. Schoolwork may help identify needs, but instructional time is devoted to purposeful math learning.

Students complete an online pre-assessment. Parent input, assessment information, student work and instructor observations help guide instruction.

Families receive a midpoint update and a final progress summary, and students complete a post-assessment.

Enrollment reserves one of seven seats for the full program, so individual makeup sessions are not provided for student absences.

Families will be notified and provided with a rescheduled session or another appropriate resolution.

Families may join the waitlist and will be contacted if a seat becomes available.

Yes. Grade-level groups allow instruction to focus on developmentally appropriate content and skills.

No. Math Coaching Lab is an independent educational program and is not sponsored, operated or endorsed by a local school division.

Families receive a progress summary and recommended next steps. Depending on student needs and program availability, families may have the opportunity to enroll in a subsequent session.
