Where are sessions held?
Math Coaching Lab serves families in West Falls Church, Virginia. The exact session location is shared directly with enrolled families after registration.
What grades do you serve?
Math Coaching Lab currently serves students in Grades 3–5.
How many students are in each group?
A maximum of 7 students.
How long is the program?
Each enrollment period is an 8 week program with one 60 minute session per week.
Does my child need to be struggling?
No. Students can join for extra support, practice, or a new challenge.
Is this traditional tutoring?
This is a structured group program with a learning plan, assessments, and parent updates.
Will you do my child’s homework?
No. Schoolwork can help us identify needs, but sessions focus on teaching and practice.
How do you identify what my child needs?
Students complete an online pre-assessment. Parent input, assessment information, student work and instructor observations help guide instruction.
How will I know if my child is progressing?
Families receive a midpoint update and a final progress summary, and students complete a post-assessment.
Are students grouped by grade?
Yes. Students join a group for their grade.
Missed classes: Enrollment reserves a seat for the full program. Individual makeup sessions are not provided for student absences.
What if Math Coaching Lab cancels a class?
Families will be notified and provided with a rescheduled session or another appropriate resolution.
What if the group is full?
Families may join the waitlist and will be contacted if a seat becomes available.
Is Math Coaching Lab affiliated with a school district?
No. Math Coaching Lab is an independent educational program and is not sponsored, operated or endorsed by a local school division.
What happens after eight weeks?
We recommend next steps based on your child’s progress. Another session may be available if it fits their needs.
